SUMMARY:Quebec City Trip
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Québec City Visit \n4 days – 3 nights -May 12\, 13\, 14\, 15/2025\nDouble occupancy:$800/person double Single: $1150\nPrice is per person and includes all taxes and gratuities. \nWe are travelling to Québec City on Monday May 12th travelling to Brossard on the south shore of the\nSaint Lawrence River. We will visit the Quartier DIX30 for some shopping and dinner on your own. Our\nfirst night is at the Hotel Brossard.\nTuesday May 13th we will reach Québec City and visit the Aquarium\, where you can have lunch on your\nown at the Aquarium. After lunch the bus will take us to Old Town Quebec City to spend the afternoon\nroaming the streets and shops. The bus will take us to Hotel Le Concorde to register for two nights. That\nevening dinner will be in the Cochon Dingue restaurant situated in the hotel.\nThe morning of Wednesday May 14th you will have a choice to visit the Montmorency Falls or the Shrine of\nSaint-Anne-de-Beaupré followed by lunch and a guided tour of l’Ïle d’Orléans – where we will visit a\nwinery and a chocolate factory. We will return to the hotel for a short rest. A traditional sugar bush dinner\nand music will await us at the Erablière du Lac Beauport.\nOn Thursday May 15th\n\, we will be heading home with a rest stop every 2 hours or so\, and a quick lunch.\nWe expect to be home to Corbeil around 6:30 pm.\nPlease be aware that you are responsible for 2 meals at your own costs. Dinner on Monday night and lunch on\nTuesday. All other tickets\, meals\, accommodation\, gratuities\, are included in the cost of the trip.\nAll trip participants must have a Club name tag and be wearing it while travelling\,\n1) once you register\, the trip fee must be paid within one week by cheque to East Ferris Golden Age Club.\n2) if you are presently a non-member you will need to join the club with a $25 membership fee which includes a\nname tag.\n3) Refund policy – reimbursement will only occur if your seat is filled by another club member on our waiting list.\n4) if cancellation is early enough and there is no waiting list and there is no one filling your seat\, when we are able\nto cancel the room\, and the meals\, those costs can be reimbursed.\n5) the cost of: bus fare\, tickets for shows/activity that are required to be purchased when the trip is planned will\nnot be reimbursed unless the seat is filled by another member.\n6) Please be aware that on this trip\, we will be travelling to the province of Quebec\, you may wish to inquire about\nout-of-province health insurance with your desired insurance company.\n7) At any time\, if you have an issue\, or require assistance of any kind\, please approach a member of the Trip\nCommittee. \nTrip Committee members are: \nLyne Way-White 705-477-5344; Terry Way-White 705-303-3544;\nDenise Beaupré 705-303-2419 ; May Seguin 705-752-4937 ; and Les Collins 705-845-5827.\nTo register call Lyne 705-477-5344 or Denise at 705-303-2419\nProvide cheque payable to East Ferris Golden Age club by April 14th .

SUMMARY:PICC Line Sleeve Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Calling all volunteer to come out and learn how to cut out or sew PICC Line Sleeves for our local cancer clinic. We will meet on \nTuesday\, February 25\, 2025 from 1:15 to 4:30 p.m.  in the Corbeil Park Hall. \nInstructions and fabric are provided\, you need only bring your sewing machine\, an extension cord and thread if you have it.   (Polyester thread in white\, black\, grey\, or cream colours work best)  A sewing machine needle for stretch fabrics will be provided to you if you don’t have one. \nThose who have a rotary cutter and a cutting mat are invited to join us and learn how to cut out the sleeves for the sewers.   If you have a cutting mat for rotary cutters or cutters that you would like to donate to the club. \nPlease contact Lise Gravelle to confirm your attendance or if you have any questions. \nHope to see you there!  \n
